SOBA 2020 - LAB Business Webinar(s)

SOBA 2020-LAB Business Webinar(s) (collectively “Business Webinar(s)”) are organized by Star Media Group Berhad (Company No: 197101000523 (10894-D) (“Organiser”). In consideration of the Organiser’s acceptance of your registration, you hereby agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:

  1. Registration
    You are entitled to register for any one (1) of the Business Webinar(s) free of charge subject to the terms and conditions herein.
  2. Early Registration
    Due to limited seats, you are advised to register early to avoid disappointment.
  3. Confirmation
    1. Please complete the Registration Form and submit the same to the Organiser. You will receive an email notification upon successful registration. If you do not receive the email confirmation within three (3) working days from the date of submission, please contact our customer support team at +603 7967 1388 ext 1871 / 1039/ 1104.
    2. The Organiser reserves the absolute right to expel any suspicious registrants from the Business Webinar(s) or as necessary security precautions without prior notice and further reference.
  4. Disclaimer & Exclusion of Liability
    1. By participating in the Business Webinar(s), you hereby assume full liability and responsibility for all risks of any kind resulting from your participation in the Business Webinar(s) and the use of Zoom, Webex Cisco and/or Microsoft Teams (collectively, “Online Platforms”).
    2. You hereby acknowledge and understand that Online Platforms are provided on an "as is where is" basis and the Organiser makes no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the security, safety, suitability, lack of viruses, inaccuracies, typographical errors or other harmful components of the Business Webinar(s) and/or Online Platforms. You shall be solely responsible for determining whether Online Platforms are compatible with your device and other software installed on your device. You shall be solely responsible for the protection of your security, device, personal data and information when using Online Platforms for the Business Webinar(s) and the Organiser will not be liable for any damages and/or losses which you may suffer resulting from your participation in the Business Webinar(s) and you hereby expressly, unconditionally and irrevocably release the Organiser from any and/or all claims arising from your participation in any of the Business Webinar(s) and the use of Online Platforms.
    3. You hereby acknowledge and agree that the Organiser makes no warranties or representations as to the accuracy, correctness, reliability or otherwise with respect to such information as discussed in the Business Webinar(s), and assumes no liability or responsibility for any omissions or errors (including, without limitation, typographical errors and technical errors) in the Business Webinar(s). You acknowledge that the information disseminated through the Business Webinar(s) is provided on an "as is where is" basis with no guarantees of completeness, accuracy, usefulness or timeliness or of the results obtained from the Business Webinar(s).
    4. You shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) resulting from your participation in the Business Webinar(s). The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any liability, mishap, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) in any manner whatsoever suffered by you as a result of the Business Webinar(s).
  5. Replacement
    No cancellation will be accepted once the confirmation email is issued. You may appoint a replacement to attend the Business Webinar(s) by serving a written notification to the Organiser at least three (3) working days prior to the said Business Webinar(s) date.
  6. Cancellation
    While every effort would have been taken to hold the Business Webinar(s) as scheduled, you acknowledge and agree that the Organiser reserves the absolute right to modify, cancel or postpone the Business Webinar(s) at any time and notice of such modification/cancellation/postponement will be notified through email prior to the actual date of the Business Webinar(s).
  7. Copyright
    All intellectual property rights in all materials produced or distributed by the Organiser in connection with the Business Webinar(s) are expressly reserved and any unauthorized duplication, publication and/or distribution are strictly prohibited.
  8. Personal Data Protection
    1. In view of the implementation of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, by registering for the Business Webinar(s), you hereby expressly grant the Organiser and its affiliates, partners and/or advertisers the permission to use and process your personal data including (but not limited to) name, contact information and/or photographs (collectively, “Personal Data”) for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, notification or permission.
    2. By registering for the Business Webinar(s) s, you hereby allow and consent to the collection and process of the Personal Data by the Organiser and its affiliates, partners and/or advertisers. You also agree to receive the latest information about products, news and events updates, rewards and promotions, special privileges and initiatives from the Organiser and its affiliates, partners and /or advertisers.
    3. You may from time to time contact +603 7967 1388 ext 1871 / 1039/ 1104 to: (i) obtain a copy of your Personal Data held by the Organiser; (ii) correct or amend any incorrect Personal Data held by the Organiser; or (iii) withdraw your consent to the use/process of your Personal Data by the Organiser, its affiliates, partners and/or advertisers.   9. Miscellaneous
    All costs, fees, and/or related expenses incurred or to be incurred in relation to your participation in the Business Webinar(s) , which shall include but not limited to the costs of internet usage, data usage, transportation, accommodation, email, postage/courier and/or any other costs, shall be borne separately by you.
